The “Slow” trilogy has at its core the concept of slowness. Everything about the three releases is slow. It takes a long time to record them. Once recorded, it takes forever to find a label to release them. Once out, they sell very slowly. Musically, they are all dominated by what one would call “ambient”, but in our case we prefer to refer to it as “slowbient”. No searing guitar solos, no drums, no sudden changes. Each track is simply called “Slow”, and are numbered in the order in which they were recorded. Many of the slow tracks have appeared on various samplers. Originally conceived by DWM fellow cohort Ralf Lexis, this project has taken over ten years to complete!

The original Slow album, this recording only came out as a vinyl album. Interestingly, it was released by a label that would later become part of Hyperium Records. Musically it contains the first three long, slow experimental tracks (#’s 1, 2 & 3), that only gradually build up in strength and structure.
